Because I don’t know any of the old Disney movie and neither do my kids. We have never seen Aladin or Dumbo or any of those.

The only ones we have seen that I can think of are Toy Story (+sequels), Up, Ratatouille and Finding Nemo. We don’t even get Disney channel so we really aren’t Disney gurus.

My kids do love animals, Star Wars and Harry Potter! So I was just wondering if when you go to Disney World/Land it’s really important to know about their movies?

Toy Story 3… best ending ever?

Let me start off by saying I am a huge critic of everything, especially movies. I’ve seen almost every movie worth seeing the last 10 years, I am 21 years old. I have seen Toy Story 3 last year when it came out, I was literally half asleep watching it and didn’t finish the ending. Well the other day, finally having some alone time, I decided to pop in the first 2 Toy Story’s to catch up on the series before I watched the third. Then I actually watched the third. Wow. The ending is so picture-perfect, every problem solved, every toy with a purpose and meaning. I do not believe I have ever seen an ending to a movie or trilogy executed so flawlessly, and it’s not even close. I always loved Toy Story, I grew up on it and I always considered the first one to be one of my favorite movies. But after the third one, I would say in terms of quality, Toy Story is at LEAST in the top 3 greatest trilogies of all time, with Star Wars and LOTR. I went through a bad break up recently and honestly, it’s been tough on me. I "had it bad" I guess you can say. The message at the end of this movie… Nothing lasts forever, people grow up, learn to let go and move on… has helped me so much cope with the loneliness since I saw this movie. It’s weird as hell, I usually am immune to sad stuff and am "a guy" about everything lol. This movie just really hit the spot that my ex tore up, and it helped patch it back up.

I know we all have different opinions, but Toy Story 3′s ending… can you think of another ending of a film that can even measure up to this? Where do you put the Toy Story trilogy on the list of best trilogies ever?
avid… none of those movies ended with the power of toy story 3′s. look at it as an ending that actually gets you thinking, that has a moral. alot of those movies you listed did have good endings. but not memorable like toy story 3′s. just my opinion

Recommend me some movies to watch?

I’m bored, and would like to watch a few good movies. Especially any ‘visually-stunning’ ones.

Among my favorites are:
- The Lord of The Rings Trilogy
- Star Wars
- Pan’s Labyrinth
- The Boat That Rocked
- Stardust
- Sherlock Holmes (w/ Robert Downey Jr.)
- the Daniel Craig James Bond movies.
- Shakespeare in Love
- Romeo + Juliet (Leo DiCaprio, Claire Danes)
- the Harry Potter series.
- Troy
- the Evil Dead trilogy

please don’t recommend any horror/gore movies, ice age, toy story or classic disney animation movies.

Why did everyone like Toy Story so much?

I haven’t seen it but some people are saying it was one of the greatest movies of the last decade and that the Toy Story trilogy is the best ever (which I find strange. What happened to the original Star Wars trilogy or The Lord of the Rings?) So yeah, why did people like it so much.
Oh yeah, I meant to put "3" in the question.

How are movies grossing more every year?

I ask this because 2010′s highest grossed movie was Toy Story 3 and it grossed over a billion dollars. But in 1990 the highest grossed movie, Ghost grossed a little over half a billion dollars and it happened again in 1980 with Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.

Children PSP game suggestions?

My young cousin, who is seven, is getting a psp for his birthday. My aunt asked me for some game ideas.

She is really strict when it comes to games. Everything has to be rated E or lower. No shooting or violence of any kind. Just really kid friendly games. Also, he gets frustrated sort of easily, so nothing too difficult.

He is already getting Cars, Cars 2, Toy Story 3, Lego Star Wars (this one has shooting, but she said it was okay, don’t ask me why), and Luxor (he plays this on my laptop all the time, and loves it).

He particularly likes racing games, though both Cars games are racing games.

Any other ideas? Any suggestions are appreciated.

So, yes, like the question says, my family’s going to Disney World MGM Studios this Friday for Star Wars Weekend. We can’t move the date (mainly because everything is set in stone) and I know I’m super excited for it! However, these days tend to get crowded. But now, we read that Gay Day at MGM Studios happens to fall on this very same Friday. So my question is, how are the crowds?

1. Are the Star Wars events likely to get more or less crowded on a Gay Day? (Or is there an impact at all?)

2. What about the rest of the park? Will rides like Toy Story Mania get longer lines than they already do?

3. Relating specifically to Gay Day, how is the conduct of most people? My family’s in complete support of gay rights (only one of the four of us doesn’t have one or more gay friends), but we don’t like PDA, and we’ve read that sometimes some couples might make-out to sort of rub it in people’s faces. We’re a bit worried some might think we’re homophobic, simply because we find full on kissing in public to be kind of gross. Be it hetero or homosexual kissing, it’s still PDA, and we don’t like it. To someone who’s been, again, how is the conduct?

4. Do they all wear red shirts? I’ve seen a few things talking about red shirts, and I’m just curious on that note.

5. Back to the main question: is the park going to be ridiculously crowded? Does Gay Day actually drive /away/ some crowds, or does it bring in far more people than it drives off? Are we going to be elbow to elbow in a sea of people? (We’re not particularly big fans of crowds either, which is why we generally go on weekdays. Star Wars Weekend (well, actually, just any Disney park) on a Saturday? No way!)

To someone who has any idea of what it’s like, be it Gay Day you’ve been to or Star Wars Weekend, or, if I’m especially lucky, someone who’s been to both, what advice can you share?
@reinaldok_2000: I didn’t realize the question sounded false. ^^; I’m sorry if it came across that way, but it really is true. As for calling it MGM, it’s just what we’re more used to. I’ve been to the parks many times, especially considering I don’t live nearby, but my family’s just used to calling it MGM. (I hadn’t even realized the name had changed…and years ago at that! Makes me feel old, and I’m only a teen!) Also, I said something about Gay Day being sponsored by Disney? I don’t remember this…^^; I know perfectly well that Gay Day isn’t sponsored by Disney, but is a yearly gathering for those who wish to come, chosen to be held at Disney because, well, Disney’s awesome. :) And I’ve never ever even considered the idea that Disney was affiliated with any certain religious or political views. Maybe you read into my question too much? As for it being this Friday, we really are going then. We’re leaving the day before, as soon as school lets out for my brother and me. The conduct
(continued) question was brought up because my parents read some blogs by a gay visitor to the parks who complained about PDA. We were just a bit worried, you know? Again, I’m really sorry if I said something to rub you the wrong way. ^^; I promise it was unintentional.

@Joseph Robinson: Thanks so much! I think you helped to clear up a few things. ^^

What DS games don't use the microphone?

I’m just curious because the microphone on my DS is broken and i have two games that don’t use the microphone (Lego Star Wars and a racing game),but the last two games I’ve bought (Toy Story 3 And Lego Indiana Jones) required the mic, which sucks .

what DS games don’t require the mic?

im trying to think of a film…….HELP!?

there’s like action figures (dolls) that come to life and are like friends with the kid

i think the name may have had "solider" in it because one of the dolls wore like an army kinda costume and had like muscley arms

then i think there was a doll that kinda looked liked chewy from star wars

NOT TOY STORY BTW…

what are the top ten movies you have ever seen?

mine are:
1.Kick Ass
2.Scream
3.Scream 3
4.The Blair Witch Project
5.Scream 2
6.Toy Story
7.Despicable Me
8.Song For A Raggy Boy
9.American Dreams
10.Star Wars Ep.3

Here are some:

Bride of Frankenstein
Mad Max 2
The Godfather: Part II
Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Toy Story 2
The Bourne Supremacy
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
X2: X-Men United
Spider-Man 2
The Dark Knight

What are some less obvious ones?
Liberty: Empire Strikes Back comes after A New Hope, and continues the franchise. So it’s a sequel, as well as Lord of the Rings.

Lego makes new colored bricks all the time to co-inside with their licensed sets. At one time purple, green and orange Lego’s didn’t even exist, and now not only do they exist but are plentiful. Lego has made colored faces and hands to match Patrick Star, Squidward Testicles, Sandy Cheeks and Mr. Krabs from the Spongebob sets. Tons of variations were created for the Star Wars sets, and the latest sets of Toy Story have shorter and taller variations of Lego people, as well as yet another new color. At Downtown Disney in Orlando, Fl The Lego store has a wall of Lego people from the past 20 years or so. I didn’t see any race but the "yellow" Caucasian people, so I was wondering if Lego has made other races of their people, and if not…why not?

Does Anyone That Grew Up With CGI Hate It?

I’m 21, and grew up watching movies like Jurassic Park, Toy Story, The Matrix, Godzilla (1998), Men In Black, Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Meneace, and movies like that. I have fond memories of watching a lot of those movies, but apparently some people don’t like CGI that much, and i was wondering if it an age thing? I prefer 2D animation over 3D animation, but in live action films, for special effects, I prefer CGI…..

What movie should I watch next?

I love action movies with a touch of family and funny I loved
Superman
Spiderman
Indiana Jones 1-4
Harry Potter 1-7
Star Wars 1-6
127 Hours
How to Train Your Dragon
Toy Story 1-3
and more
but what movie should I watch now, that has action, family, and a couple jokes?

So I got a part-time job, and for my first pay days I spent it mostly on DVDs and presents for my family. Then a couple of weeks ago, (i’m a huge film fan, by the way) I saw Toy Story 3 and loved it, I have always loved the Toy Story films. So I work in a huge supermarket and I went down the toy aisle and bought a Woody doll. It’s the size it would be in real life, like the film. The detail was amazing, and it looks fantastic, I’m not a collector of toys or anything, I just have a few Star Wars busts, and a Spock bust, so I thought if I place the Woody beside them, on my dvd collection it would dectorate my dvd set really well. The doll was over £30 or about . Do you think this was a waste of money. I’m a 17 year old boy, and it wasn’t my whole pay, ( I get paid weekly)

Anyone up for a Movie Survey?

8) Titanic or Freddy Kruger(1st movie)?

Hope you liked the survey.

mine are
1-Star Wars
2-The Wizard of Oz
3-Toy Story

5-Ben Hur
6-The Ten Commandments
7-Lord of the Rings
8-The Sound of Music
9-Lawrence of Arabia
10-Pleasantville

What is the name of that generic yell?

There is a generic scream that shows up in almost every action movie since the 80′s. I don’t know what it is called, but the Stormtroopers do it in Star Wars, and Buzz does it in Toy Story, along with many others.

Well, it’s that time of year again, the biggest time of the year for Hollywood!!! That’s right, it’s… THE OSCARS(R)!!!! The time where stars come together to honor the best of the best from cinema of 2010! And the nominations came in. The Nominees are:

Best Picture

Black Swan

The Fighter

Inception

The Kids are alright

The King’s Speech

127 Hours

The Social Network

Toy Story 3

True Grit

Winter’s Bone

(You can find all the other nominations on Yahoo! Movies)

Now after the nominations were announced, some Pixar fans like me, rejoiced for Toy Story 3′s Best Picture nomination, while others complained about Christopher Nolan’s Oscar snub.

Here are my thoughts:

I have only seen 3 of the nominations on this list: Toy Story 3, Inception, and True Grit.

Toy Story 3

I think this was the best movie of the year! Now normally, whenever a movie franchise makes a third installment, it is very risky (X-Men 3, Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, etc.), but this was actually the best threequel since Lord of the Rings: Return of the King!!! I laughed, I (almost) cried, I was on the edge of my seat throughout! It was just spectacular! Although I don’t think it will win Best Picture, I think that will either be The Social Network or The King’s Speech, but I’m hopeful that it at least wins the Best Animated Feature Oscar(R). I think it was so good, it not only met my expectations, but surpassed them To Infinity and Beyond… But some Dreamworks fans disagree. Some people thought "How To Train Your Dragon should have won!!! It was so much cooler!" Well, I for one though that HTTYD was Dreamworks best cgi movie since Shrek. So I loved that movie too. But I love TS3 a whole lot more. People happen to be complaining that it was too violent and too dark, well I say, remember E.T. the Extra Terrestrial? That was pretty dark! Especially when they tried to dissect E.T. But it was a classic! I think that the best kid’s movies are the most scariest! And I could relate to Toy Story 3, since I was finishing Middle School. I had to say goodbye to old friends and teachers to meet new friends and teachers, like the toys had to say goodbye to Andy to meet Bonnie. So now you see what my thoughts are on Toy Story 3.

Inception

I loved this movie a lot!!! I love a good twist ending! I think it was one of the most original movies I have ever seen. It wasn’t a sequel, it wasn’t a reboot, or a remake, or anything. And there was no formulas, no cliche dialogue, no preachy message, it was all fresh!!! But is it the best movie ever? No. Well to me it’s not. I thought it was great, but I think people are over-rating it. I don’t think it was any better than Toy Story, The Dark Knight, or Star Wars. But I do think that it is better than Twilight, Batman Begins, and Avatar. Even though it was nominated for Best Picture, which everybody asked for, people are still complaining for Chris Nolan being snubbed for Best Director! WOW! First everybody complains over the Star Wars prequels, then Indiana Jones IV, then Twilight, and now this! Can’t anybody be satisfied? But I digress. Anyway, I hope that Inception does well in the Oscars(R), it is one of my favorite movies ever.

True Grit

My Dad and I are HUGE John Wayne fans!!! We both think he is the best actor in Hollywood history! So, you could see why I was excited to see this Coen Brothers remake of True Grit, unfortunately the only movie that John Wayne won an Oscar(R) for. I saw the original True Grit two times, and it is now one of my favorite movies ever. I was thinking that the remake would be better, but I was wrong. My Dad loved the remake, I loved it too, but to me, it’s over-rated. Look, I think that Jeff Bridges did a great job with the role of Rooster Cogburn, and yes, I think that Hailee Steinfeld did a great job, and yes, this was, in some ways, more well made than the original, but there is so much to the original that I really love: the atmosphere, the music, the look, everything. But the problem is, if I say that the original is better, immediately I get the nostalgia stamp on me. This is what happened with The Dark Knight and Tim Burton’s Batman, but in this one, the actor from the old one is dead. So there’s no excuse, except that this one was more politically correct. I am okay if you guys like the remake better, but I have a few nit picks. I am running out of room to share those nitpicks, but I will share them in the additional details. But I think you get the point.

So what are your thoughts? Who do you think will go home with a golden idol, what would your reaction be if your favorite movie lost or won the Oscar(R)? Write your thought down, and please no bad language. Thank you! :)

How can I have two OS on one computer?

Me and my dad are building a new computer, with a super-epic graphics, one of the fastest CPUs out there, and the problem…Windows 7. I want this computer mainly for gaming but I still want to be able to play old games such as LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4, Star Wars: Jedi Knight Jedi Outcast, Star Wars: Battlefront, and the Toy Story 2 PC game from 1999. I want to keep Windows XP, but I still want to get Windows 7. So how can I have two OS for 2 hard drives in 1 computer?
Yeah, I know about compatibility mode, but some games don’t work like that. Old games. I tried it with Toy Story 2 (Great game BTW) and set to Windows 98, the OS it was meant for on my dad’s computer with Windows 7 and it kept crashing to the desktop.

What movies remind you of which of these decades?

What movies make you think of the 70′s 80′s and 90′s

70′s: Star Wars
80′s: Flshdance
90: TOy Story

can be any movie.
