I knew my brother and I were definitely different from most twins. Its not that we look different or talk different but the other orphans never want to be near us. At first, Azarel and I thought it was because our strange names. Our parents gave us these names to represent us. Azarel means morning light and beautiful sunrise. My name, Abira, means strong and courageous. However, it turns out; it had nothing to do with our names at all.

The kids could sense something different about us. We knew that by the glares and mumbling about how strange we were behind our backs. I didn’t know what was wrong with us but now, looking back, I do. But a few years ago, when I still lived at Angel Guardian Orphanage, there was no explanation.

About a week after our parents died, we were to live at A.G.O. None of our aunts or uncles would take us in. Mainly because one lived to far away and it would cost too much money to get there from Colorado and the others were too poor to support a family. Therefore, we were stuck as some kind of living hell where they worked kids to the bone to pay for the place, along with money from the government that they pretended to spend on toys and such for us.

A few months in hell makes you go completely insane! I mean, the meals are horrible, the staff is chilling and, the beds hurt your back, neck, and every other part of your body. Not to mention my brother and I only saw each other at dinner. During lunch, we were given a roll and a bowl of pea soup, every day. Well, I guess it could be worse; they could not feed us lunch at all. All during lunch, we were told to scrub the bathroom tiles with toothbrushes, wash the dishes, and clean the orphanage from attic to the very creepy basement. And don’t even get me started about my room mates.

Five of us had to share a room together. It sucked because it was like they put us with people they knew we would hate. In my room was Amber, the head cheer leader, Claudia, the emo, Kati, the honor student, and Isabella, the prep. They classified my brother and me the freaks. I immediately knew Amber was our controller. She was in charge of everything. Emo girl picked the single bed out of it and two bunk beds. You could practically see the smoke rising out from her ears and out our window when Amber declared it as hers. While they fought over the bed, I picked one of the top beds and started unloading all my stuff. I had with me a green and purple duffle bag and a small Star Wars suitcase (yes I know I am a dweeb who loves things like that). I specifically chose this bunk because there was a nice little window that I could see clearly out of. Also, I could sneak out.

That precise moment is when all the trouble started.

Do you think any of the new ones will be as good as Lego Star Wars?

I got an old millenium falcon toy for christmas and it’s missing some pieces. I want to know if there’s anywhere or anyone that can offer to sell me the missing pieces, whether original or replicas, to restore the ship to it’s original, complete form?

I am trying to incorporate Star Wars music that not very many people will recognize right off the bat as being SW music (i.e. NOT the main theme music) for my wedding ceremony processional and recessional. I am considering a section of the "Throne Room" music for the recessional, but can’t decide on what to use for the processional. And I would like to keep it limited to episodes IV, V and VI. HELP!! I have recently gotten into collecting some of the Star Wars Lego vehicles and playsets. I’m disappointed that some of the coolest sets seem to be "retired." I’ve looked online at places like eBay, but the prices are ridiculous. Is there a cheaper place to find some of the older sets?

This is the story I just got done writing. I just wanted to know if you all liked it or not? Here it is:

“And now we go back to some of your favorite country classics!” the radio announcer stated, waking 12 year old Jake Steins with a start. He quickly turned off his alarm clock and glanced at the time. 6:01am. It was going to be a good day. Something in Jake’s mind was fuzzy, but he thought nothing of it. He got out of bed before his mother could yell at him to get up and picked out his clothes. He walked into the bathroom and got dressed, brushed his teeth, and combed his hair.
After breakfast, he flipped on the TV to one of his favorite TV shows—Star Wars. He watched it for about 10 minutes then he got up and got his things together for school. Jake gave his parents each a hug and walked out the door to the bus stop. He met his friend, Tommy Torres, there and they got on the bus and sat together. As they both listened to their MP3 players, Jake dozed off like he usually did. When the bus pulled up to the front of the middle school, Tommy and Jake got off the bus and walked into the school.
The school was abuzz with students running around, eating breakfast, going into the main office, and walking into the hallways towards the lockers. Jake and Tommy strolled into the cafeteria to hang out with a few friends before the start of school. Little did anyone know that something terrible was going to unfold in about an hour or so.
At around 9am, in Jake’s 2nd hour class, the principal came on the intercom. His voice was sad and shaky. “Students and staff, we have just been informed that the World Trade Towers in New York City have been hit by 2 hijacked commercial jetliners. At this time, there is no word on how many have been killed, but the number is suspected to be quite high. The jets hit at around 8:45 this morning. I’d like to have a moment of silence at this time for all the families affected by this terrible tragedy. Also, school will resume as normal but please just remember how the families of the people killed must feel. That is all.”
After the moment of silence, Jake’s second hour teacher turned on the news. The tragedy was unfolding again and Jake watched in horror. A few girls cried, but most of the boys were silent. Jake didn’t know what to say. He sat in his desk in astonishment. “This tragedy has affected thousands of people and we pray for everyone affected,” said the news anchor.
In the background of the tragedy, someone was playing taps. As the smoke bellowed from both buildings, Jake couldn’t bear to think that there were actually people still in there going through a living nightmare. He wondered what the next few days would be like for their families. He wondered if anything big would happen because of the attacks. He wanted to know so much, but at that time, the information he was looking for was unavailable.
At 10am, the principal came on with another announcement, “About a half hour ago, the Pentagon was hit by the same hijackers. Many people were killed there also. That is the only information that has been made available at this time. That is all.”
The days following the tragedy were the hardest to watch on TV. Everyday the tragedy unfolded so many times that each time it unfolded on the TV screen, a piece of Jake’s heart broke, just thinking about the many people that were killed. He hoped that there’d never be a day like that again.
To clear up some questions:

A man asked his wife what she’d like for her birthday.

On the morning of her birthday, he got her up bright and early and off they went to a local theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park: The Death Slide, the Screaming Loop, the Wall of Fear and everything there was! Wow! Five hours later she staggered out of the theme park, her head reeling and her stomach upside down.

Right to a McDonald’s they went, where her husband ordered her a Big Mac along with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, the latest Star Wars epic, and hot dogs, popcorn, Pepsi Cola and M&Ms. What a fabulous adventure!

Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed. He leaned over and lovingly asked:

- Well, dear, what was it like being 10 again?

One eye opened:

- You idiot, I meant my dress size. – she said.
Moral Lesson:
If a woman speaks and a man is actually listening, he will still get it wrong!
